We stayed for one night at this charming family pension in Rottau while traveling back home from Croatia, and it was a lovely experience. The place was clean and comfortable, providing exactly what we needed for a restful stopover.
Although the pension’s restaurant was closed on the day we arrived, the host was incredibly helpful and directed us to a nearby restaurant, which turned out to be a great choice. The next morning, we enjoyed a good breakfast in the pension’s restaurant, which set us up nicely for the rest of our journey.
Situated in Bernau am Chiemsee, within 29 km of Erl Passion Play Theatre, Gästehaus Lechner is an accommodation offering garden views.

The hostess was incredibly friendly and welcomed us with open arms as soon as we arrived. She recommended several local things to do. The room was great, everything we needed and the beds were super comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and filling and friendly. We met a couple who have been coming to the same hotel for 35 years! If that doesn’t tell you that it’s quality… !! The WiFi was excellent and even reached the beautiful outside area, where we sat the whole evening enjoying the fresh air.

Room was simple but clean and comfortable and would have had a nice view -but the weather was awful! Staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and a good choice. We were seated at a window table for dinner (which was very good) - but sadly, we couldn;t see any views because of the bad weather!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Such a shame that we only booked for one night.
There were so many things we really enjoyed:
- Breakfast was amazing (the home-made cupcakes were delicious).
- The host was just wonderful. She gave us so many tips on what to see, where to eat, the nice hikes.
- The beds were super comfy.
- We had our own terrace with a lovely view.
- They invested in solar panels and a charger for electric cars. What’s not to like.
Will we be back? Yes, most definitely.

Great location, we stayed in the old building, but the conditions were very good. The shower cabin was spotless! Parking was in the back side of the hotel and breakfast had many options.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Well located close to town centre and Kampenwand Talstation. Street and neighbourhood was quiet. Nice hiking paths. Car parking ok and free on the street. Wifi worked perfectly.
Nice comfortable bed in a quiet guest house with a great beer garden and reasonable priced food. The included breakfast buffet was comprehensive and well stocked and the secure bicycle garage was well appreciated.
Almost everything one may possibly need is available in the apartment, e.g. complete kitchen tools plus all food condiments and food stuff even fresh fruit on a platter. Also all household items from cleaners, disinfectant spray, cloth washing gel, first aid kit, etc. with no extra charge. Many books and games.

the location was close to my work place which was about 30 minutes away. it’s a very nice hotel with friendly staff, I could speak German but they were very willing to switch to English. Great location, 3 mins near Edeka
Great small apartment, which is not named „Villa Musica“ for nothing - be sure to hear a piano or the hosts daughter singing. ;) It was very clean and cozy and our host was very flexible as we had a problem with our car and we first cancelled our stay, booked a new one and even prolonged it spontaneously in the end. She also recommended a nice mechanic! A very nice woman and a great location as well.
