Victor is an exceedingly friendly and helpful host (the rest of the family were lovely too). He immediately made us feel at home and made every attempt to understand our poor spanish and talk to us in very clear, slow, spanish so we could understand him! He provided us with a lot of help and information.
The hostel was located on the edge of the historical centre, about 10 to 15 minutes walk from the bus station and a large supermarket, about 30 minutes walk to the lighthouse. The hostel is quite small so it's very quiet.
The bedroom was very comfortable with plenty of storage, a fridge, extra blankets if needed (but a heater was provided), proper glasses for water, and a very good TV.
The bathroom was very large, with a good-sized shower with hot water, plenty of towels provided, and a chair to use.
The kitchen was very well equipped, the best we've come across after 15 months of travelling in S. America. Large hob and oven, smaller oven too. Kettle, blender, coffee maker, etc, and all the pots, pans, tableware and cutlery you could possibly need. Access to large table for eating.
