Lovely, clean, well appointed, spacious rooms. We had two different rooms during our stay and both were delightful. This is a modernised old building. It is not the most suitable for those wanting a party atmosphere. As it’s name suggests, it is the guest house for the seminary. it therefore operates a quiet period from 9.00 p.m. until the next morning. This is ideal for those who want to retreat into a silent space after the bustle of the city. There is a beautiful church, and a guest chapel, available for prayer and reflection. The courtyard in the centre of the building has cloister and a little fountain .
I felt my blood pressure dropped the minute I entered this space. A tiny roof terrace with chairs and table for two or three people up on the third floor offers a view over the city and a peaceful, sunny space. There is even a guest library and a very useful guest app. There is also a laundry and a lounge /guest kitchen for those who would like to self cater. Our second room had a tiny kitchenette facility, including two electric rings, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, kitchen sink and enough crockery and pans to cook a hot meal, had we wanted to. we believecould not our luck! Reception staff are on hand during the day and are extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful, typically Austrian, and very nice. Perhaps the coffee from the coffee machine could do with a little improvement, but that is my only small issue. Salzburg is a city full of church bells, including the clock chimes at the guest house. We woke and was summoned to bed by the sound of bells.
New version: Only a 10-minute walk from Salzburg’s Main Train Station, Pension Elisabeth - Rooms & Apartments offers a limited number of free private parking spaces right around the property.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The place was beautiful! There were so many things to do with the family, I just wish we stayed one more day at least. We had fun, my nephew had a great time and the hosts were just splendid. My recommendation to new guests that are coming is to buy food and everything you need in advance, that way you do not lose time going to the nearest shop (which takes time) and just arrive to the house and enjoy it! BTW, the weather also helped us a lot to get the most out of the house.
Lovely, clean apartment in a quiet village (opposite a village church, very picturesque). The hosts have a pub next door where you can go for a grill night a couple of days a week.
Perfect mountain view! Warm welcome from host. Bread delivered in the morning. Cabin had everything we needed. Close to Salzburg and other great things to see.
great location 1050m above sea level, end of the road, very calm place,
great host, very attentive
farm with the animals
ability to purchase local products.
Large area for parties. The hostess was a great happy person. The fish tank was huge and clean. Breakfast was pretty good. Free parking. Clean air. Easy to get there from the highway.
Amazing nature and views, 2 steps from the forest and hiking opportunities. Separation from hosts was amazing, they were close but not seeing you at all. Flat was very child-friendly, as was the property, toys, sandbox etc etc. Animals. Hosts were very nice.
