We were lucky to have the entire apartment to ourselves. Although one light was not working, the facilities and space were great and the beds very comfortable and quiet. The first very nice surprise for Hungarian travellers, that the staff is Hungarian. Above the common language, and this is the real value, the couple who manage the Gasthof -Gábor and Tünde- are really very professional, very kind and helpful people. The breakfast is rich, good quality, typical Austrian one. However the restaurant is open every day - except Wednesday-, the foods are really tasty, a certain rethinking of traditional Austrian ones by a very good Hungarian chef. The Gasthof is an ideal starting point for star-tours. The Dachstein, the Altaussee (with the Loser), Bad Aussee, Radstadt, Schladming or Windischgarten etc. are very close to Irdning. Free parking place is available w/o reservation.
