The units at the property are fitted with traditional wooden furnishings and come with modern private bathroom facilities. Staying at this hotel was a highlight in our backpack trip across Europe. Not only was it quiet and very clean but the views were spectacular, walking trails to the lake were right outside the front doors and the hotel restaurant had the best pizza we’ve had on our whole trip. We only had to take one bus from the train station in St Moritz and it was easy to Navigate. That same bus took us into Italy the following day right from the same drop off point.

Hotel Maria’s individually decorated rooms overlook the forest or the valley. They feature wooden furniture, satellite TV, and a bathroom. Excellent menu, preparation, and presentation of the evening meals all three days. Also, an extensive wine list. Overall, the restaurant for the evening meals was very good and a good value. Breakfast was suitable but not above average. I seem to recall an extra charge for an egg cooked to order.
