The staff are friendly, a warm welcome awaits as you check in, rooms are beautiful, bathrooms fabulous, quite a unique hotel with a lot of character, but that does not mean dated, everything was lovely and well maintained, a modern feel, spotlessly clean, beautiful bar and dining areas - great views, food is excellent including breakfasts. You don't need to be a resident to pop in for a lovely cup of coffee or pot of tea, (and beer during licensing hours) and cakes available from mid morning in the bar area. Lovely outlook and patio area and outdoor seating in the warmer months - The Hotel is about a 100metres from the ferry terminal, so you could come over as a foot passenger, there is a bus service around the island (check times) though. I loved it - Thank you shout out to receptionist Lucie who made me feel most welcome, as well as the dining staff, bar staff and cleaners who worked tirelessly keeping everything spotless.

very friendly and helpful without being intrusive staff. Even the young lad waiters who seemed relatively new had a lovely open friendly and polite manner. room very comfortable and everything as required. Spa was lovely and didn't know there was a squash - great to see and will definitely use next time. bar area pleasant to relax in and surroundings very beautiful (we hit lucky with the sunshine too).

Fancy being able to walk straight from your hotel room onto a beautiful golf course? This is exactly what you’ll get by staying at a golf hotel, which often features luxury facilities like a gourmet restaurant, a health spa and high-end shops. Golf hotels are often set in dramatic locations, so you can enjoy lots of different outdoor activities.
This hotel was definitely a very pleasant surprise, it's was way beyond our expectations. We booked because it was close to a golf course we were playing.
Rooms alot nicer and bigger than most 5stars we have stayed in and the food in restaurant was beautiful. All in all a 5* stay!!
Location. Short travelling distance from Glasgow for a leisurely break. Big spacious public areas, particularly good at this time.
proximity to beach. Golf courses nearby.
