It is set on a golf course and has very pretty surroundings. The room was clean, comfortable, and a good night's sleep. The receptionist was on her own, remaining calm through chaos and did what she could at a very busy time.

The hotel is on golf course, very quiet with plenty of parking. I was visiting the area with a friend to see a couple of local gardens and we weren't expecting much based on the price. However, we were pleasantly surprised. Although my room overlooked the car park, it was well designed and very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful and the food surprisingly good. Cannot comment on breakfast as we didn't have it. Would certainly return if in the area again.

Room was clean, well furnished and had everything you need/would expect. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice. Evening meal was also good, although not what you would describe as ‘fine dining’. Didn’t use the leisure facilities/golf course, but they seemed popular. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Fabulous location and grounds though the restrictions about going round the golf course limited any ability to really make the most of the grounds. The room was very nice though it didn't have a fridge or any form of drawer. I would have thought it wouldn't be hard to add two shallow drawers to the clothes rail arrangement.

The Tytherington is a very nice hotel. From the first minute we walked in the feel was a a comfortable, clean well run hotel. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was well appointed and clean. We at lunch in the lounge where there was a good choice of food, and a lovely conservatory overlooking the golf course. If you want a base in the Macclesfield area I would definitely recommend the Tytherington.

The view was second to none. Golf course looked amazing, as an ex golfer. Parking - more than adequate. Everything was clean. The old building looked/was interesting, but was let down by the rest.
