I am from Mere. My family built a house here in the 1930s. They were going to buy the club when it was an estate in the 1920s. My sister and I have spent decades of our lives playing tennis on court no.2. My father was a very good golfer at Mere. Mere is deep in our hearts. It is amazing. The steam room is super. If I could escape London every weekend to Mere I would love to go to Mere. Hoping to see you soon. warmly Dr Natasha Eaton excellent duck and supper in general. Such generosity.

The location was excellent as It was an easy and lovely walk through the park to the centre of Knutsford and a short drive to the golf course at High Legh. The property is spacious, private and has good parking with a great large modern bathroom and kitchen. If you were staying in the winter the heating system is excellent. My stay was perfect. Lovely touches were the orange juice, milk and beer in the fridge and the amazing flapjacks. Great place and lovely and very responsive hosts. I recommend this Coachhouse.

The hotel restaurant "Browns" was disappointing, the menu is over priced and quality is suspect. For instance my Rib eye steak had a thick piece of gristle throughout with the only response from the staff being that they would pass this on to their supplier! The food in the golf club lounge bar was far better and staff far more friendly and efficient.
