The hotel has got a rustic old Landhaus flair and the food at the restaurant was very good. We learned that they offer cooking courses and similar events. On this particular evening they did a BBQ cooking course with about 10 people. We didn't see the actual cooking of the food but they all came into the restaurant to eat their own cooked dinner. Quite impressive I guess.
The rooms were spacious and clean and very quiet.
The breakfast buffet was plentiful in volume and choice.

The hotel is located next to the train station. Opposite the hotel you can walk straight into the forest. The room was tidy. Restaurant and bar were nicely decorated and well cared for, service very kind. The mini-train that runs through the dining room above your head is a funny detail. Delicious vegetarian meal on the menu. When the weather is warm, you can sit outside on the terrace. Free parking. Visit recommendation: Burg Steinfurt, the Steinfurter Bagno forest park and Bentheim Castle.
