This place is simply gorgeous! The location is amazing, with views out over the mountains and to the ocean. The open lanai was a gorgeous and peaceful place to lounge and relax and watch the sunset - even though the staff assured us that the sunset is "better other times of year," I still thought this "less good" sunset view was pretty dang incredible! The little private A-frame huts were so cute and comfy, and the shared bathroom was clean and convenient. And the staff member who was working was the nicest, most helpful person in all of Thailand. We were there during a quiet time (I think there was only one other guest staying there at the same time as us) so the restaurant was closed. But when we told him we were hungry, he just whipped up these two delicious bowls of soup for us, and then he offered us fruit from their garden. Unbelievable hospitality - I wish we could have stayed longer.

Boasting a garden and views of river, Khaosok August Freedom Camp is a recently renovated campground situated in Khao Sok, 1.1 km from Khao Sok. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The accommodation features free shuttle service, luggage storage space and organising tours for guests. This was my first camping experience in Thailand, and I loved it. I was a bit wary because the listing said "empty lot", but I got a big tent with a mat and blanket, as well as a towel, toilet paper, my own fan, and extension cord for charging my phone. The tents are on an elevated platform and sheltered from the elements. Breakfast was included in the price and consisted of fresh bananas and delicious local sweets. The location is really great because it's quiet and serene, but it takes 5 minutes to walk to the entrance to the national park and all the restaurants. You can book tours of the Khao Sok National Park directly from the host. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer.

Also, I was stupid enough not to understand how that AC works and he refunded me a bit of money 🥹 And I had nice private pool, it is really small but I went to chill there at night and watch at stars it was sooo nice and they have nice cat, she was so full of love

We absolutely LOVED our stay in the Khwan Beach Resort Luxury Tents. On the whole, the resort is picture perfect (and looks exactly as it does in the pictures). It's superbly upkept, the staff are amazing, and the environment is top notch. It's also a 2 minute walk from one of the best beaches on the island. The on site restaurant is really high standard for a very good price. We actually had some of the best Thai food there, although they have a lot of lovely looking western dishes too. We can't praise this place highly enough and is the only place we'd stay in Koh Samui. Nadear who manages the resort is the best. She was always on top of everything we needed and gave us a tonne of great suggestions for things to do. She will literally sort out anything you need.
