Possum Lodge, hotel in Te Anau

Set in Manapouri, 21 km from Te Anau Glow Worm Caves, Possum Lodge offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and barbecue facilities.

First of all, it’s surrounded by LORD OF THE RINGS FILMING LOCATIONS! The location of the property was superb. Situated on lake manapouri, overlooked by the snow capped mountains. Heaters and electric blankets in the rooms for the colder seasons. And we had snow! Lots of games rooms with ping pong and board games to keep you busy. Outdoor area for fires. Good washing and cooking facilities too. The owner is super friendly and chatty. Always asking how everything is if he sees you. This place made our trip. This was recommended by a friend and we would recommend it to anyone. 5 stars
