Perched on a cliff facing the Atlantic Ocean, this design hotel is within a renovated traditional farmhouse. Set on Madeira’s South Coast, Ponta do Sol has a stunning infinity pool and hot tub with panoramic views. Beautiful views, friendly and attentive staff, very nice breakfast. We were there at the beginning of January and were able to enjoy the outdoor pool and ocean views. We had a car (which we recommend so you have the freedom to explore the whole island) and there is free parking available below the hotel on the street with a lift up to the hotel. We will definitely book in again if we come back to Madeira.

The newly renovated 4-star Hotel Baía Azul is ideally situated a 4-minute walk from Funchal’s beachfront. It offers 3 swimming pools, 3 restaurants, a Spa and a sun deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the gardens. Wonderful and caring staff, my left at reception suicase was taken to my room when room became available, they have lockers in spa I had room with balcony _ walk outside thru to the pool., pool area is lovely, towels are comfy Inside pool is right temperature, just open doors for fresh air

The air-conditioned rooms of ARTS IN Hotel Conde Carvalhal have flat-screen TVs, bright and modern furnishings and wooden floors. Bathrobes are provided in all rooms. Some have an equipped kitchenette and a balcony. The suites are located in the original mansion, while the studios are situated in the modern annex. The Hotel was the best decision we could have made. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, courteous and cordial. Never felt so well and welcome in a Hotel ever before. The breakfast was more than delicious and they Even had glutenfree options for my partner. It was a big big pleasure to stay here. A big thanks to the staff for making our stay so comfortable and unforgetable! :)

Renovated in 2018, the 4-star Hotel Alto Lido is located in Funchal’s prime area – Lido, 2.5 km from the city centre. It offers an indoor and an outdoor heated swimming pool as well as a pool for children and Spa facilities. Everything was great. Very tasty breakfast. Everyone comes to their own. The service was perfect down to the last detail. Thank you for a perfect time spent in this beautiful hotel.

All rooms at the hotel feature cable TV, free WiFi and a private bathroom. Everything was perfect, room, breakfast, location are beautiful. Queen size bed was huge and very comfortable. Staff is awesome. I certainly will come back. This hotel is highly recommended.
