Quietly situated, the family-run Shelmalier House is just 5 minutes’ drive from the town of Athlone. It features a sauna, free Wi-Fi, and free private parking. This place was wonderful. The owner Jim went out of his was to make us welcome and comfortable. There was glitch in our plans and Jim went out of his way to get it fixed fot us. It was raining and we got wet and cold-he brought us a heater.that warmed us up. He could not have been more helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend this place. 😀

Just 3km from Athlone, The Mill Bar offers free parking, free Wi-Fi, and rooms with en suite bathrooms. Set within picturesque countryside, it is located just off the N6. The Mill Bar was a lovely property, and the rooms were thoroughly quiet, even though there was a lively bar below. I patronized the bar the night I was there and it had a wonderful atmosphere. The room was comfortable, clean, and exactly what I was looking for for one night's stay. Furthermore, Teresa was a friendly, helpful hostess. The breakfast was top notch. These stylish apartments are located in Athlone town centre, offering free Wi-Fi, modern kitchens, and spacious living areas. location is fabulous. We usually stay in hotels but as with my father & daughter it was lovely to do self catering as we could eat at the location than eating out all the time.
