The place is beautifullly secluded. The resident dog & cat was such a delight to have as company. Such a pity we stayed only one night, would have loved to stay longer. Jianshe Inn is located within the Dayan Ancient Town scenic area but a little away from all the hustle and bustle of one of the main pedestrian streets. Therefore it's a great place to stay at if you cherish your quiet time and are into having a good night's sleep. I stayed at three different rooms and all of them are spacious plus providing all the desired necessities. The cleaning lady does a great job in keeping them very tidy as well. I can definitely recommend staying at "The Deluxe King Room with balcony" as it comes with a lovely big bath tub. The accommodation provides a shared laundry machine and a place to dry your wet clothes as well which is quite handy of course. All in all Jianshe Inn comes highly recommended!!

The Square Street and The Waterwheel are both 5 minutes' walk away. Great location in old town in a quiet street. Very comfortable beds, staff was super helpful and they speak english very well. I liked the free fruits !

Gives recommendations for sightseeings and restaurants. Great location. Short walking distance to enter ancient town. Large room, clean and much details that you see back in the hotel. The lobby is very detailed and beautiful decorated. The Chinese tea in the room was welcoming. The host invited me for a Chinese tea ceremony in the hotel which was a very nice to experience. This hotel made my travel in Dali very smooth and convenient. If I come back to Dali I will definitely stay here again.

Located just a 1-minute stroll to Erhai Gate, the inn is located on the crossroad of Renmin Road and Dongyu Street. It takes an 11-minute car drive to the Chongsheng Temple and the Three-Pagoda. There nearest airport is Dali Airport, a 50-minute minute car journey away. Very nice, small boutique hotel in a good location in walking distance to tourist sights. Nice hosts who are very present, friendly, and welcoming. Nice, bright room with high ceiling and large window. Everything clean and in good condition. Nice courtyard and shared balcony. We had a very comfortable stay.

Guests can use self-laundry and dryer facilities for free. What a great location, close to everything yet secluded and tucked away in a nice small dead-end alley. The old wooden house with courtyards was lovingly kept intact yet the rooms are fully equipped with all modern and luxurious comforts, and very clean. I booked 2 rooms: a two-bedrooms suite for my sister's family, and a small room for myself, but I got upgraded to a fantastic room with huge space, which is next to my sister's family suite. It was truly a magnificent upgrade for me. And I loved every minutes I spent in it. I got so many room upgrades in my traveling life but nothing is quite like this one. I truly appreciate the host for the experience. My sister's suite was nicely featured with lovely touches. Drinking water was supplied daily. Mufu, market square, riverside lanes, and many good restaurants are all near by. We walked everywhere. Lijiang is a town made for nice strolling. Some streets in Lijiang maybe crowded but if you know how to navigate this intricate and hauntingly beautiful town, a few steps away, you can have a charming alley, or some quiet squares or beautiful corners all by yourself. After a day exploring, it felt nice to get back to our quiet space to rest, we slept really well. The staffs are all very helpful and kind that made our stay more enjoyable. I totally recommended this charming hotel.

This hotel is newly refurbished and renamed to Fairfield by Marriott since April 2024, everything so new, excellent facilites including a sky garden at level 3. The best of our experience was the front desk staff, especially Mia who saved us from the incredible stress trying to pay our tour agent in Kunming when Alipay transaction did not go through due to my Aussie bank card issue. Mia also helped us to booked the Lijiang Romance show with discounted VIP seats, this is a must see show with moving stage and real water fall effect. The room was nice and spacious, we loved the movable mirror at the basin. There was welcoming fruit platter and 4 bottles of water per room each day. Twinning tea and instant Nescafe with creamer was provided, but very easy to buy milk from the mini mark 20m left of the Hotel. The hotel has the best herbal scented shower gel and conditioned shampoo, best from all our hotel experience. The bed was very comfortable, just nice and firm, as I do not like soft bed. The breakfast was nice with decent variety, value for money consider for the class of hotel. Although more Asian choices with noodle station made to order, dimsim station, for the westerners there is an omelette station, variety of baked buns,toast & cereal station and coffee machine. We got our daily veggie and fruit fixed. The location is on big road Shangri-La road at the edge of the old town, boom gate is motion activated for drop off. About 400m walk to two street food, one on hotel side through a small lane of your left, another just cross the road at the traffic light and 50m walk into the small lane. The street food operates from 9pm to 4am, perfect for us when arrived late. We love a variety of BBQ skeward cooked on grill. For those experiencing altitude discomfort as Lijiang is about 2700m above sea level, and the Jade mountain (lowest cable car stop) is about 3300m, can buy oxygen tank from the chemists, plenty along the road near the hotel. Around CNY20 per tank.
