The Spa Hotel, hotel in Tonbridge

The Spa Hotel is an elegant country mansion just a 15-minute walk from Tunbridge Wells Rail Station.

Great staff at The Spa. Friendly and helpful. Rooms are a reasonable size and are clean and comfortable. Very good breakfasts. The staff are even smiling and pleasant first thing in the morning even when they did the late shift in the restaurant the previous day.

Smith And Western, hotel in Tonbridge

Set within a 19th-century, Grade II listed building, the American themed Smith and Western Hotel offers unique, individually decorated rooms, just a short walk from the historic Pantiles shopping...

Everything, but the price of the food and drink was far too high, at least by 25%. A real shame as everything else was top drawer.

The recent refurb: modern & stylish yet cosy decor. Rear entrance to rooms available direct to car park. Large car park. Bathroom in the standard double I was in was large with both shower and deep set bath. Walk in shower in second room I was in (see below) was large too. Comfy beds. Great full breakfast, including excellently fried eggs. Meal in pub restaurant both eves was delicious. Friendly and attentive staff. Relaxing stay. Would stay again.

Lovely room which was spacious and comfortable with modern decor; it also had a small sofa with coffee table creating an area to sit and relax. Quality fittings and furniture giving a high-end feel. Plenty of parking, with access to the rooms through the bar or via a rear staircase. Handy shop nearby on the A46. Great food too - there were plenty of customers so clearly popular with local people.

Location. It's right in the city centre and on the main street. Inside the room was warm and pleasant, despite the fact that outside was quite cold. Kettle available in the room, along with available sachets of instant coffee, tea and sugar.

Good city centre location. Excellent secure parking. We did ask to move rooms which wasn’t an issue at all, and the new room was perfect. Bit dated, but a good size and really quiet. Very comfy bed. Nice clean bathroom.
