Really a fabulous place, the setting, the views the property itself & the owners. Honestly, we would love to return. They have done a fantastic job, the pictures actually do not do this place justice & I told Sabrina the owner. Because it was so much nicer then it looks online (and it already looks great online!) the town and location is picturesque. If we are ever in this region of France we will be returning without a doubt!

We arrived at La Bonne Etape after a long car ride - were feeling tired . This hotel had been selected as our " splurge " hotel as it had a Michelin star restaurant and was a Chateau and Relais hotel. When we arrived we were greeted outside the front doors by our wonderful host Stephanie. She was most welcoming - got us settled and made us a reservation for dinner at Cafe Gabby. It was so nice not to have to go out to find a restaurant - ate at Gabby twice.Our Michelin star meal was for our last night.Our room was spacious and had a lovely view of the pool , mountains and gardens.A carafe of water, biscuits and a lovely welcoming note were left in our room - a such a nice touch. Stephanie suggested what to do in the area and as well as walking trails close by.The public spaces were beautiful - filled with elegant furnishings and paintings. Our final dinner at Bonne Etape was beyond expectation - had wine pairings with the courses - amazing service, beautiful presentation on lovely serving dishes - very polished service.The Master Chef came around after the meal to see if we enjoyed our meal- an unexpected but very special surprise. Tuck in service in our room was appreciated each night with a special herbal tea and " jelly" candy! Tourist Brochure in the room was very handy. Huge fan of L'Occtaine - which was the toiletry product used.

Beautiful and interesting property a short walk from the centre of a lovely town. Perfect base for touring Luberon on bikes. Lovely pool, fab breakfast and characterful rooms including a huge living and kitchen area on the top floor. The city and estate were beautiful, and the house was within walking distance from the city centre. The house had a well equipped kitchen and natural shade, so heat was never a problem. It also came with a beautiful garden and a pool.
Matthieu the owner was exceptional. We left some glasses in the room and he posted them to us. I have been to this hotel many times over the last 30 years, when Mathieus father owned it. It has been renovated to a high standard since. But keeping a lot of original features.The view was like stepping back in time to when I first went. We had the garden room. Thanks to all the staff who were lovely. We did make a bit of noise when England were playing tho!
Very, very nice appartment in Maisonette Style. Appartement has everything you need even if you want to cook by yourself etc.
