Fabulous history and evocative atmosphere. Great vibe in the communal kitchen and dining/lounge area. The historic info and pictures were exceptional and it was wonderful to relive the past in the current day. The owner seemed friendly but I only saw them passing by in their car. I think the solitude added to the sense of adventure.

The Mount Gambier Hotel has been tastefully renovated with quality inclusions right down to the Aesop products available in the bathroom and the quality assortment of Mandurah tea bags available in the mini bar area.
The bedroom furnishings were beautifully upholstered and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious with twin basins and an excellent shower area.
Our dinner downstairs was also delightful.
All this was available in a central location at a very affordable price.
Located in the centre of town with parking behind the Hotel. Did not try the restaurant or bar. Stayed in the Small Double Room - Shoebox which is internal and does not have any windows. Price was good for the location. Room was very clean and modern. In particular the bathroom was excellent (recently renovated?).
beautifully renovated old building. the attention to detail was good and our room was very clean and comfortable. it felt like luxury. the bathroom was amazing with lovely modern fittings and even Aeosop soap and body lotion. we also had a high quality meal in their restaurant - would thoroughly recommend.
Modern attractive well designed townhouse. Very clean and tidy, perfect for 2 couples. Comfortable beds, excellent facilities in both bathrooms, smart well equipped kitchen with concealed quality laundry appliances. Excellent quiet location within walking distance of the town centre.
