Crowne Plaza Alice Springs Lasseters, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Alice Springs

Nestled at the foot of the majestic MacDonnell Ranges in Alice Springs, the 4.5 star Crowne Plaza Alice Springs Lasseters offers rooms with a balcony or patio.

Comfortable, well equipped room, which was surprisingly quiet despite being on the ground floor. Large hand basin in the ensuite bathoom is a plus. Optional handheld shower head is available, although the switch to turn the overhead shower off is not at all obvious; it took me a while to figure that out - not an ideal design for a hotel room. (The shower in the rooms on the first floor is more user friendly, but the handheld shower head there is way too narrow to be useful.) Good onsite restaurant (Tali) - I had eaten at the restaurant during my last stay only a few days earlier, and by the time I returned, the menu had significantly improved with several more vegetarian options added!

Location - close enough to city centre for amenities but not in the heart so less/little noise from late night entertainment; storage of spare luggage whilst hiking

The granny flat has a warm cosy feeling and Karen and Hans were lovely hosts. I enjoyed sitting in the garden watching the birds. Great location not far from city centre and a short walk to the local shops. A very comfortable sweet granny flat.

I loved everything about this Granny Flat. It’s very modern, clean, comfortable bed, quiet location and had a locked gate for the car. Karen the host was extremely friendly, helpful and communication was very easy. I hope to stay here again!

The Stumps Cafe does a fantastic breakfast. The room was fine - considering it's a budget hotel, you get what you pay for. Location is fantastic as it's in the city centre and walkable to the mall for any food needed. Parking included as well which is great as most people staying were driving.

The room in the new building that we had on the homeward end of the trip was very pleasant - like any nice four star hotel. Location is good and much better than the Double Tree. Novotel is very walkable and did not feel 'unsafe' as many would have you think. Double Tree is a huge schlepp and taxis and Ubers are notoriously unreliable. Also quite lovely gardens with lots of birdlife.
