The room was on par with some of the five star hotels I've stayed in in the US. We stayed in the Maya Suite (which I'd recommend due to the fact that the other style had very little natural light). They keep the grounds pristine. Every one of the staff was friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend for any type of stay.

The property is allergy-free and is located less than 1 km from Merida Cathedral. This hotel is amazing. Simple but has everything. The staff is exceptional. I have seen staff being very helpful in other hotels but at Casa Tavera the staff goes above and beyond to accomodate the guests, help them plan the best visits and book tours for them. It offers an outdoor pool, a bistro bar, gym and spa facilities. This hotel is really superb!! It's like stepping into another world. The grandeur, the decoration in every detail it's perfect. The staff is excellent and takes care for you as if you are their best familie. the hotel is situated at a nice square in the city centre. The room was very spacious and very very well decorated. At last but not least, the bed is super, maybe better than our own Hastings😁.
