We had a great time at the Anvaya. We were a bit too early for the check-in and were impressed that there was an air-conditioned waiting lounge with buffet including coffee, cake, juice, soft drinks... nice.
The staff was very friendly and helpful no matter in which area of the resort. We really liked that it was located directly at the beach, every late afternoon we left the pool for a little beach walk and enjoyed the sunset with a beer / coconut.
We didn't find the beach to be as bad as stated in some of the other reviews. We liked that there were mostly balinese locals enjoying the sunset and not only tourists like in Seminyak/Canggu for example. There was a nice vibe.
The pool area was very nice, very clean. No problem to find free places there, no matter when (at least when we stayed there). I had some cocktails there, which were really good (prices a bit under European price standard, but not very cheap).
Breakfast was great, fresh smoothies, yoghurts, egg station, waffle/pancake station, pasta, pizza, sushi,you name it. Gigantic. There was an air conditioned area, we really enjoyed :)
We liked our room with garden view, the movable door that separated the bathroom from the bedroom was a funny detail and nice for communication (hard to explain for me in English, just take a look at the picture :)) The free-refill of the minibar was cool. We also received a lot of little goodies almost every day (small cakes/pralines).

The resort was ideally located, walking distance to a lot of restaurants and entertainment but quiet and with a small private stretch of beach. Pool area was deluxe, pool was pretty warm but I guess that's unavoidable in Bali. Lots of chairs although sometimes hard to get shade. The food was good, perhaps priced a little high for Bali, particularly the buffets; we had breakfast buffet only once, it was very good but you can't eat enough at breakfast to make it worthwhile. Restaurant on non-buffet nights was good, we did have room service once and food arrived quickly and was hot. Entertainment was good with the evening buffets, a sort of cultural overview, and mixed with the evening bar entertainment. One band was very good and one singer almost laughably bad. We were there for 3 weeks and had to extend our stay because I got injured and was in the hospital, the staff could not have been kinder or more concerned. They went out of their way to make sure my husband didn't have to change rooms, and were very caring with me when I was discharged, not very mobile! Also, there was a problem with the first room we were assigned and they were very good about moving us, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Resort is spotless, those of you always taking photos of tiny bits of mold in the shower will be foiled by this place, it's so clean. They give you bottled water daily, appreciated since you can't drink the tap water. Lots of TV channels and Netflix/Prime etc access for nights in. A lovely stay, we hope to go back. I can't say enough about how good the management was.

I stay at the Ramayana every time that I am in Kuta. It feels like coming home. The staff are very friendly and always welcoming. I always love laying by the pool. It feels like a sanctuary within the city.

Staff were lovely, and most spoke pretty good English. Rooms were okay, but I wouldn’t say 5 star, maybe 4.5 stars. Were given bottled water each day. Pool was awesome, great temperate, and not too chlorinated.
Walking distance to Waterbomb Bali and had a supermarket at Lipo Mall a short walk away.

Our stay was great. Staff always helpful. Bed super comfortable. But the absolute standout was the food! After a really long trip delayed by 5 hours, we ordered some room service & it was so good & beautifully presented. Yes we were hungry, so next day ordered some more. How can it be this great? Over 30 trips to Bali but first time at Satriya Cottages. 2 swimming pools, really clean. 5 stars on a budget. Try the mahi mahi, pork ribs & satay ayam- outstanding!!

Hotel is good, but im not really sure about 5 star rating that.
Hotel looks old and needs to be repaired in some areas. We had no bathrobes in the room, which should be available in a 5-star hotel. Swimming pool is nice and clean, breakfast is delicious but no vegetables served. Coffee is also not good. Stuff is very helpful and kind. The area around is very noisy so if you want to have piece and quiet time you should book different hotel.
