House has been beautifully decorated with still keeping all the rustic features. Everything you could have needed was in the house, with a few extras such as biscuits, milk etc. lovely touch!
Hosts were all very welcoming and friendly.
House is situated in a very peaceful and tranquil area with the bonus of not being too far for other locations to visit. Fantastic stay and would happily recommend and stay again in the future.

A beautiful cottage set in a quiet, calm countryside location. We were able to go for evening walks from the property and watch the wildlife in the setting sun - badgers, hares, wild boar, deer... The cottage is huge, with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The hosts have prepared a little information booklet too which was very helpful with local recommendations. We could easily go on day trips from here whether we wanted nature or city. Recommended!

What a gem
Real homemade from home everything you need and want from a cottage holiday. Made to feel welcome from the start and a great relaxing ideal place and location .
Really comfortable and homely.
When the accommodation is just as important as the destination, a five-star stay should give that extra ‘wow’ factor as you enter the lobby. As well as offering the kind of service to make you feel like royalty, you’ll usually find highly rated on-site spas, gourmet restaurants and top-of-the-line beds you won’t want to get out of.
Everything!
A really old, comfortable and romantic setting and our room was absolutely glorious.
The food was 5 star and the staff made the difference between a nice stay and a fantastic one 😀
I have stayed in holiday lets all over Europe, the UK & the US for over 30 years.
The Paddocks Cottages are quite simply the creme-de-la-creme.
The peaceful location, the beautiful grounds with amazing wild- but unthreatening -life & my Acacia unit were perfect.
The furnishings & amenities were of a standard one could expect in a 5-star resort although there are only five units.
Superb food , would rival any 5 star hotel .
Staff most friendly and welcoming , particularly Cat and Tim , nothing too much trouble and often enquiring if they could do more !
THE BREAKFAST WAS OUTSTANDING ,ESPECIALLY THE WONDERFUL FRESH FRUIT, THE FULL ENGLISH WAS TO DIE FOR .
The accommodation was excellent and the location overlooking the river was superb , lovely walks through the woods ,highly recommended .
a fantastic old world traditional country hotel. don’t expect a 5 star hotel as this isn’t it, however the price reflects this and the quality surpasses the 3 star rating they currently carry.
Certainly worth a visit, the menu caters wonderfully for vegan and vegetarian guests and the four poster beds are surprisingly comfortable.
Shower was hot and powerful too!
The food was excellent and you certainly could not complain about the portions. The menu was varied. The breakfast was superb. Full marks to the chef - outstanding. Also could not fault the service.
Everything, superb location with superb hosts,
Delicious breakfasts with outstanding views of the river Wye.
