Villa Florentine, hotel in Lyon

Villa Florentine is located in the heart of Old Lyon with panoramic views of the city. This former convent offers elegant guest rooms, a 24-hour reception and free WiFi throughout.

A converted convent high on the hill with lovely views of Lyon. The hotel has been modernised magnificently whilst also maintaining some of the original architecture. Rooms are beautifully appointed. Staff are very welcoming, friendly and always ready to provide advice when asked. We upgraded to the Medici suite and it was worth the extra Euros.

Villa Maïa, hotel in Lyon

Located on Fourvière Hill in Lyon and offering panoramic views over the city, Villa Maïa features an indoor heated swimming pool, a hot tub, a steam room and a fitness room.

We booked a triple room with a balcony and the room was incredible. The size of the room and balcony was spacious and looked out to a gorgeous green garden. They have thought of everything in the design and amenities. The bathroom has an enormous shower, separate toilet and a bath. The staff were amazing, very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. One of the best hotels we have stayed in. Location is right near the cathedral and a short walk down hill to old town.

DIFY Roi Lyon - Hotel de Ville, hotel in Lyon

In the 1st arr. District of Lyon, close to Fourviere Roman Theatre, DIFY Roi Lyon - Hotel de Ville has free WiFi and a washing machine. The 5-star apartment is 1.5 km from Musée Miniature et Cinéma.

This huge apartment allowed plenty of space for our family of 4. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and the showers were lovely. Instructions for picking up the key were easy and the host responded to our questions in good time. Accessing the channels on TV were no problem. A great range of places to eat near-by and a convenient corner store 1 block away. Close to Croix-Paquet metro station (still some up hill walking) or Croix Rousse metro (down hill walking but a bit further). The washing machine worked well and was appreciated (no powder provided). The apartment is on the 3rd floor (with no elevator) which was only a bother when moving heavy bags, but aside from that the stairs were no problem for our family.

This is an excellent example of how to make a 5-star experience out of 3-star space. The room and bathroom are small but everything is organised so ergonomically - the experience is top-notch. Workdesk, power points, USB ports both at the desk and bedside, retractavle luggage rack. My room was on the 39th floor, which gave an excellent view of Lyon. Breakfast was also excellent,

The best thing about the hotel is the staff: everyone was super helpful, as attentive as one might expect in a five star luxury hotel. The design is also excellent, with rich materials and elegant colors that create a lovely atmosphere. The location could not be better.

The hotel was five star throughout. The room was fabulous, the facilities were fantastic. Location is great too. The concierge was very friendly and absolutely on the ball. We loved the dog bowls in the room - very nice touch. The Michelin star restaurant very kind allowed us to bring our dog and was out of this world.. really would recommend it.

Beautiful old convent converted into a modern hotel with windows that open for fresh air. Very clean room with big, comfortable beds. We had the family suite which is very spacious with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. A lot of water bottles in the mini fridge, chocolates on arrival, a toy for the kids. Breakfast was top quality too. It really should be a 5 star hotel. We enjoyed our stay immensely.
