All cottages at Riverbend have a fully-equipped kitchen, an outdoor seating area, as well as stone fire pits for barbecues. This beautifully designed and cosily furnished cottage is an absolute gem! You can enjoy the amazing view into nature from inside through the big windows, from the big porch or - and this was our big highlight - from the fire-heated hot tub. At night you can watch the stars sitting in the hot tub with nothing but nature around. It is simply beautiful and a great place to calm down, relax and enjoy the quiet away from all street noise. Since it is entirely off the grid, it is not affected by loadshedding. We’d highly recommend taking a factory tour in the olive oil factory with Allison while there. Both Allison and Francis are very welcoming, friendly and caring hosts. If we ever make it back to South Africa, the trip up to the farm with this special cottage will be a must on the itenerary!

All units come with a terrace with mountain views, a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave and a toaster, and a private bathroom with hot tub. A fridge, a stovetop and kitchenware are also featured, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. At the farm stay, the units come with bed linen and towels. What a hidden gem! We loved our stay and wish we could’ve stayed longer. The honesty bar and the pizza oven were perfect. The cottage was cozy, clean and came with home made treats and freshly ground coffee. We will definitely be back!
