A supper were offered at a very fair price, which we accepted and it was delivered to our cottage. Very tasty Karoo tripe and a chicken potjiekos.

The breakfasts were amazing. Carla is a very talented chef. The rooms were big and it was handy having the little kitchenette, table and chairs and couch.

Limited free WiFi is offered at Fairbairn. The accommodation was brilliant. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Setting was stunning. Especially watching the rain fall while sitting on the porch. The service from Eben was spot on. He was very helpful and, when requested, he gave us great advice on travel routes.

Pabala Private Nature Reserve is situated in the malaria-free Eastern Cape and just 20 minutes' drive off the N2 highway. Nestled in the Loerie district, the farm offers bungalow-style accommodation and basic tents. Nadine is so lovely and also available. She made our stay feel like home.
