The property has mountain and pool views, and is 39 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. The farm stay also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. This was the best escape from reality we could have asked for. We have been treated like family, the accomodation accepts animals and our dog could freely stay with us without any problem. The breakfast was varied a little every day with local products and even though we have stayed for a week we never felt bored by the food. Since you are a little away from everything there is a local minibar where you can taste the wine directly from the quinta. If you want to disconnect, listen to the nature and feel like home away from home you definitely need to visit this place.

The renovated old house is so beautiful, the architecture and the decoration are so charming. The breakfast had homemade delicacies like jam and cake, all delicious. And we had a such nice talk with Dona Lurdes. The medieval village is stunning!

Whether you are with your family, friends or looking for a couples get away — it’s a perfect place to disconnect and relax. The property has everything you need with wonderful views throughout. We stayed in the 3 bedroom, 2 bath unit with another couple and our 5 month old and the space had everything we needed and then some. Pools were perfect for cooling off during the hot days. Our favorite spot was the patio outside the apartment with Adirondack Chairs overlooking the Quinta. Now for the best part of the stay — the hosts!! Anabela and José are the best. They are warm, wonderful hosts that made us feel right at home. They did everything they could to make our stay excellent and were so accommodating with our 5 month old. They had great recommendations for what to do in the area and put up with our million questions about the history of the quinta . Make sure you select the option to do the dinner at the Quinta. Anabela’s cooking is amazing and José is a wonderful dinner host — some of our best meals and conversations when visiting the Douro were here. We will definitely be coming back just to hang out with them again and to eat more of Anabela’s meals 🙂
