It features an outdoor pool and an on-site restaurant. absolutely exceptional stay. we only had one night and would have preferred two. from afternoon drinks to the shared table dinner and wonderful food and wine it was wonderful. the room was large with great views. can't speak highly enough of the host.

Set in Tabuaço, in a historic building, 32 km from Douro Museum, Quinta da Moita Agroturismo is a recently renovated farm stay with an outdoor swimming pool and garden. The property has mountain and pool views, and is 39 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. The farm stay also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. This was the best escape from reality we could have asked for. We have been treated like family, the accomodation accepts animals and our dog could freely stay with us without any problem. The breakfast was varied a little every day with local products and even though we have stayed for a week we never felt bored by the food. Since you are a little away from everything there is a local minibar where you can taste the wine directly from the quinta. If you want to disconnect, listen to the nature and feel like home away from home you definitely need to visit this place.

Housed in a building dating from 1940, this farm stay is 20 km from Montebelo Golf Viseu and 35 km from Viseu Cathedral. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. A wonderful place to stay if you are in this part of Portugal. Our room was spacious and comfortably furnished. The owner, Catarina, was a mine of information about where to eat and what to do and, even though we were the only guests, she prepared us one of the tastiest hotel breakfasts I've ever had.

It is a little family run place that only has four rooms, which makes the place feel so cosy and genuine. We felt right at home, it felt like visiting a friend with the service and facilites of a luxury hotel. The location is perfect for exploring the Douro valley. It was never crowded, we even had the pool to ourselves most of the time. Service by the little team was fantastic and felt genuine. We even had the pleasure of getting a wine tasting and tour by one of the owners himself. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Whether you are with your family, friends or looking for a couples get away — it’s a perfect place to disconnect and relax. The property has everything you need with wonderful views throughout. We stayed in the 3 bedroom, 2 bath unit with another couple and our 5 month old and the space had everything we needed and then some. Pools were perfect for cooling off during the hot days. Our favorite spot was the patio outside the apartment with Adirondack Chairs overlooking the Quinta. Now for the best part of the stay — the hosts!! Anabela and José are the best. They are warm, wonderful hosts that made us feel right at home. They did everything they could to make our stay excellent and were so accommodating with our 5 month old. They had great recommendations for what to do in the area and put up with our million questions about the history of the quinta . Make sure you select the option to do the dinner at the Quinta. Anabela’s cooking is amazing and José is a wonderful dinner host — some of our best meals and conversations when visiting the Douro were here. We will definitely be coming back just to hang out with them again and to eat more of Anabela’s meals 🙂
