We went with Kids and a dog and everyone loved it - the pool, lake, stand up padel, Kayak, SPA, amazing sunsets you name it. The breakfast was really awesome and anything you need you just need to ask and it will be delivered to you - really nice. Use and abuse of the barbecue and be ready to make some cool cocktails. Within the facitilies you also have a play room with snooker, games etc. everything you need!! We will def. repeat it and recommend to everyone.

If this rural accommodation had a restaurant, it would be classed as a 5* Hotel. From the moment of our arrival, our hosts did everything to make us feel welcome and at ease. The bedroom/ bathroom was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean; the grounds and swimming pool were well maintained. Parking on the property is convenient and secure. (our motorcycle was garaged). Breakfast was excellent and exceeded all our expectations. It is very highly recommended.
This was a lovely rural setting just outside the town. Jose Luis and Sandra are super hosts and go above and beyond to help their guests. A place where you can relax after a long days drive in peace and safety knowing your hosts will go out of their way to look after you. In summer that pool will be very popular and the stay could easily become longer which we would recommend. Parking no problem and just a few minutes drive to town for an evening meal. Due to low season, we were the only guests and host was very friendly and helpful. Very quiet location on the farm in the country near a lake.
Great location, very quiet and peaceful. A real escape from the city, perfect for family stay. We were allowed to walk all around the farm and had a great experience of interacting with animals and feeding them. The house is decorated with taste, very cosy and full of pieces of art. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We definitely had a better experience than expected.
This place is a little oasis of calm, elegance and luxury in a nice valley. The best trait is definitely its exquisite interiors, of a restored farmhouse in sleek modern Portuguese style. The staff were extremely educated and made us feel like home.

Impeccably run, tastefully designed conversion of a small historic building. Was a pleasure to stay there and learn of its family history from the owner. Worth taking them up on their offer to leave a cold supper of fruit, meats and cheeses if you are arriving late - beautifully presented. The breakfast was also the best we have had on our tour of Portugal with produce from the family farm and fresh baked bread. Highly recommended.
We stopped here for one night on our way to Lisbon but wished we could have more time! Rooms are spacious, ranch is lovely (with farm animals, swing and kittens). We stayed in Feb, but can imagine a nice summer night there. Breakfast is excellent as per other reviews, and the hostess even reserved a local restaurant for us so that we could have dinner there on Sunday night.
Loved our stay at Casa da Tia Amalia. The couple signing us in were extremely friendly and helpful. We came with 3 bicycles and they let us store them in his workshop about 3 doors down. Just gave us the keys to get to them whenever we needed them. The design of our room was very rustic with doors hand made like barn doors. A lot of creativity went into this these rooms. Mértola is a lovely little town, with a short walk across the bridge to see the castle and town.
