Engaru
Set in Engaru, 45 km from Kamikawa Park and 46 km from Taisetsu Observatory, Farm Stay Ezura Farm offers free bikes and air conditioning. The property features mountain and garden views, and is 45 km from Azumamachi Hall. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen and private check-in and check-out for guests. The location is a great spot to see the natural beauty of Hokkaido and enjoy a view at rural life. We ate well with a mix of Western and Japanese meals often made with produce from the farm itself. We helped out the full day we were at the farm which was a great and fun experience as well to see what the daily life is like on the farm (we also got to eat for free that day for volunteering). The guest house is very comfortable and spacious for small and large groups as well.
Akaigawa
Margo's Garden Farmstay, Kiroro features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 20 km of Otaru Station and 31 km of Otarushi Zenibako City Center. Boasting luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The accommodation offers free WiFi throughout the property, as well as a terrace and a family-friendly restaurant. - Host (Liam) and his staffs are very nice. - Breakfast and dinner are served in home-cooked buffet style, which is very good in both quality and taste. I had two clean plates in every meal. Morning scone is the best. I cannot have enough of it! - My 6 years old girl really like animals in the farm e.g. rabbits, horses and Junior (the dog). She also like the small mezzanine floor at the dining room where there are books and board games and space to relax. There is also a common room at the barn to play piano and guitar, too. - Room is clean, big and comfortable enough for happy stay during winter. It locates on the 2nd floor of the barn, so you can still hear animal sound but not that loud. We had a peaceful stay, no annoying noise or smell at all. - We have a rental car, so it is very convenient for us to go to Kiroro ski resort, Yamanaka dairy farm, or come from airport. - Breakfast and dinner at the property are recommended because there are not many shops/restaurant around and the food at this place is very good.
The location was central to most attractions in Furano, such as Tomita Farm, Cheese Factory, etc..The hot spring was fantastic. Especially the room with the tub, which was perfect for a couples' getaway with its exclusive ambience and great view. Complimentary amneties like the free flow hot drinks, ice-cream and yogurt drinks were much welcomed. The roof top space and views was a nice touch too.
Saeko is an excellent host, breakfast was very good and the accomodation is private and self-contained with view to the Lake. It’s in a rural aerea, car is needed.
The hotel is very cozy and feels like living in a European home and the fact it is facing the alps is a selling point which makes you feel that Asahikawa is like Switzerland of Japan!!! It is a walking distance to Farm Tomita and you can pass the mountains while walking/cycling/driving.The homemade breakfast is very delicious and makes you feel full enough until 2pm. The rooms are well maintained and very clean. Even free coffee is highly recommended as the taste is comparable to those in coffee shops.
I enjoyed the atmosphere where guests feel free to start conversations with each other about their journeys, as this farm-inn is located in the midst of popular destinations.
Interesting being neighbors to farm animals. Definitely an experience for city dwellers.
We got upgraded to an apt. in the barn as that was free during our stay which speaks volumes on how accomodating the staff was. Had a super nice stay and just a bunch of genuine and kind people working there. Big plus seeing a bunch of animals thriving at the farm
As a pit stop for the Blue Pond and Furano, this is a good place to stay. The trains you need to take to get everywhere are close. Love the well water! (For those who don't have experience with well water, it is high in iron, so sinks, tubs, toilets, etc. will have a rusty look to them - it's still clean, though) It has a nice almost farmhouse feel to it. Owners/staff were really nice and cool.
Farm stay is refreshing..away from city life. Chilling place, lots of flowers, fresh air, and chirping birds. Hosts are sociable and warm
Cottage was rustic and as authentic as a farm can get.
Well...what can I say? This farm house is one of a kind. Beautiful. Beautiful in and out of the house. I slept in the second floor dormitory hall with two Japanese couples and it was very clean and the common area was spacious. All the small figures are cute and beautiful. Electrical outlets everywhere. The landlady was so kind. The kitchen area is beautiful. Big bathroom with big bathtub. And the surroundings. The scenery was out of the description. Don't miss this beautiful farmhouse if you visit Abashiri.
