We also enjoyed borrowing the bicycles they had and riding around the country in the early evening. Several towns are close by and convenient for traveling to for dinner. My family enjoyed our stay so much that we cannot wait to return one day!

Surrounded by olive trees and featuring a 19th-Century olive press, Masseria Gianecchia is a family-run farm stay located 8 km from the centre of Cisternino, and a 15-minute drive from the sea. Free private parking is available on site, and free WiFi is available. It is an apartment in a beautiful Masseria from 1700 greatly preserved, in the middle of an olive trees field, and in a great position. It is in the right in the middle of an area with lots of things to do like Aleberobello, amazing beaches, polignano al mare, cisternino, grotte di castellana, ostuni etc..... All of them at 10 max 20 minutes distance by car. The owner Antonella is an amazing host who is very detailed oriented, and passionate about preserving the originality of the masseria. Always ready to help and make you feel comfortable at home. Being italian, I know what is the feeling of staying in a real spot, and this was definitely a real local experience. In the morning there is a great breakfast served by Alessandra, who is super nice and also gives you lots of tips and information. You can buy olive oil made with their own olives. My daughter liked it that much that did not even want to go to the beach anymore, but staying in the masseria with her new friend: Antonella's father dog Lola. At 3 minutes from the masseria there is a little village, Pezze di greco, which has some nice restaurants and all the relevant commerce you will need for your stay. Cisternino is great for the night and is 10 minutes away. I would definitely recommend and will definitely come back there next time in puglia.

The swimming pool is perfect to cool and chill after a touristy day. The dogs are adorable, and the property is breathtaking.

The nearest airport is Brindisi - Salento Airport, 46 km from the property. One of the most beautiful masserias that I have visited! It is located some 20-25 mins away from Alberobello and 10-15 mins away from Locorotondo, the main attractions. The masseria is in an olive grove, surrounded by hills and century old olive trees. Rooms: we were a party of 4, so we booked 2 rooms. Everyhting is gorgeous, very tastefully decorated and practical (ex: tea making and even cookkng facilities & dishes in the rooms, in case you want to grab a bite in the evening without leaving the premises). One of our rooms, which had a lovely tub, felt a bit humid but was still very nice. The gardens and pools are clean and well kept. Breakfast had some good variety.
