Arroccas de is Istellas is situated in Arbus. There is a private entrance at the farm stay for the convenience of those who stay. Sergio, the owner, was vibrant, energized, and always working hard on his property or roasting the pig! The host, Tommaso, was the hardest, most skilled attendant to our every need. They both offered great insight into the history of Sardinia and the family farm (over 300 years old). The grounds were lush, the rooms were quaint, the food was freshly cooked daily by Barbara- she was such a gem! This truly felt like a retreat- the farm grounds and animals were lovely!

Overlooking the surrounding mountains and valleys, Oasi del Cervo is set in a rural area 15 km outside Arbus. This country house has a small farm with animals and produces its own cheese.

Rooms are in rustic style and come with tiled floors and wardrobe. The private bathroom is complete with a shower. The location is breathtaking, the food bountiful and delicious and the staff friendly! A wonderful place to stay.

The restaurant serves homemade food, including pasta, cheese and meat produced on the property’s farm. Packed lunches are available for trips around Sardinia’s South West Coast.

Iglesias Train Station is 20 km from the Sa Rocca Farmstay. Cagliari Elmas Airport is a 70-minute drive away, and a shuttle service is available. Our room has its own refridgerator, which is a superb add to have in the room. Friendly and gentle staff , breakfast is great , restaurant is also very good.

We had a unique and unforgettable experience in Sardegna thanks to the warm hosts of Sa Tanca. We enjoyed fresh pastries and cakes baked by Franca for breakfast, and the delicious 4 course dinners of produce entirely farmed on site and lovingly hand made by Maria ensured we didn't want to dine anywhere else for the whole week of our stay (highlights being the pecorino and sausage, curlugiones, wild boar tagliatelle, suckling pig, home made Mirto). Nonna Francesca kindly toured us around the farm, introducing us to the puppies, chickens, pigs and rabbits. We got home every night to a clean and tidy room, which was simple and comfortable. As the sisters and mother speak only Italian, it was an excellent opportunity for me to practice mine, and they were very patient. We would happily return with more family and will recommend to any friends travelling there! We drove to the beach each day, with some world-class beaches between 30 minutes to 1 hour drive away, and were not busy, as this side of the island is apparently less touristic. We visited in May and enjoyed some beaches almost totally alone.

It is very quiet, and yet it is very close to the lovely beaches; cafés and restaurants in Portixeddu and Buggerru. Annalisa was very nice and provided us with good advices. Also the dinner was very good compliments to the chefs! Thanks.

Olive oil, meat and cereals are produced on site. An amazing place to stay comfortable and spacious with beautiful views. Alessandro is an exceptional host,he keeps the place clean and well maintained, nothing is to much trouble for him. we joked,laughed and sang with him - beautiful Memories ❤️
