Wonderful place to stay. The hosts are lovely, being able to stay in such an historic location is a privilege. Very comfortable and clean room. An amazing breakfast with a wonderful selection of home made breads, pastries and more. We have already recommended this to friends and we hope to be back someday!

Amazing spot to relax, disconnect, enjoy nature, good food and incredible landscapes. The rooms are spacious and filled with comfort. The restaurant is outstanding in terms of price quality relation. The only minor defect is the pool that needs some maintenance. But with all the amazing beaches in the surroundings, no probs at all! Very friendly and professional owner. Staff super nice and helpful.

Lunch and breakfast were delicious. We highly recommend.
Monticchio
Set within 16 km of Castle of Melfi and 46 km of Shrine of St. Gerard, Agriturismo Il Riccio offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Monticchio. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The farm stay has family rooms. Hosts Stefanio (English-speaking) and Antonio were extremely welcoming. Breakfast was great and the specially prepared vegan(!) dinners in the downstairs restaurant were delicious. Local families filled the restaurant and lingered on the grounds on Sundays. Sweet dogs greeted us and Antonio's other truffle dogs ensure truffles when in season.

The owners were lovely and so hospitable. It was so fun to walk around the farm and view the dairy milking. The rooms were basic but left nothing to be desired. Peno and Anna were wonderful and we would highly recommend that anyone else experience this naturally beautiful farm. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful old farm transformed into a hotel. You can feel there like at home. Friendly staff, especially Enzo who can arrange anything for you. Nice pool (around 16 m) where you can really swim. Everything is almost perfect, architecture, even Masseria logo. Really appreciated our stay and rested. Thank you :-)
Loved the beautiful rural location & the relaxed feel of the accommodation. The home prepared breakfasts were awesome and everything was done with such care & attention. The private terrace was brilliant for relaxing & taking a bit of sun and the little upstairs apartment had everything we needed plus a few extra touches.
A real working farm stay. The host gave me a tour of the dairy cow milk production and talked me through the making of the yoghurt which the fam is famed for the biodynamic process. It was fascinating. The room was large with a nice terrace that I claimed with a glass of wine as it was a sunny day.

Everything about our stay was excellent. Beatrice and her husband were very attentive to our needs. The Breakfast was excellent and include products from the farm and items made by the family. Grandmas cheesecake was simply the best. The location is perfect for visiting Matera and the local area.
Located in the center of the old town, the hotel offers easy access to nearby attraction and dining options. Like most old houses in the town, the hotel looked rustic, a style that many people are attracted to. The suite we stayed in was a 1.5 story house, with a bed room on the 2nd half story. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable with good quality linens. The staffs were friendly.

Very unique experience - staying at a renovated farmhouse / tower in a quiet rural area just 10 minutes drive from Matera. The compound is situated on a hill with great views of the area. Rooms were big and the breakfast was great. The receptionist / manager there was very helpful.
Lovely small farm house in the middle of fields with loads of animals. Fenced property is safe place for children to wonder around. Very welcoming and polite host. Extra special thanks for the melons that host went to fetch from the fields especially for us.
