Beautiful old farmhouse.
nice old farm house
Warm welcome from Gillian. Huge room and separate bathroom in lovely old farmhouse in the hills of Ayrshire. Hot water, lovely bath and toiletries and fluffy towels. Offered to make up a fire for me in the guest lounge. Comfortable bed. Provided decaffeinated tea, fruit, choice of yoghurt and toast with marmalade for breakfast. Quiet location but only 10 to 15 minutes from Girvan which has a parkrun, lovely cafes and shops. Beach and seaside walks at Girvan too.
We received a very friendly welcome. There was a little fridge in the room with fresh milk for tea. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the shower, when we got it working, was good and powerful. No evening meal available at the farmhouse, but our hostess gave us plenty of recommendations as a result of which we ended up at a good Italian place in Prestwick (Vito's). Breakfast was very good, including excellent home-made jam and marmalade.
Lovely location, lovely farm house. First thing you notice is how clean everything is. Bed was a delight and so comfy, better than home and then the morning shower was equally superb, powerfull jets and instant supply on hot water. Breakfast was also top notch, great cooked breakfast and plenty of homemade options including jams and cake. Owners very friendly. Couldn't have picked a better place to stay overnight before journeying deeper in west scotland
Beautiful bright and spacious bothy in a lovely rural setting, finished to a high standard with lots of homely touches making for a cosy getaway. All the kitchen essentials you could think of for self catering and the hot tub was fantastic. We had the opportunity to see all the lovely animals on the farm and even got to bottle feed some newborn lambs which was a highlight! The host Janet was so attentive and very helpful throughout our stay and couldn’t have done more to ensure we had a good time. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
We loved the fact it was a farmhouse with all the original features. It was very comfortable and cozy with stunning views and would like to have stayed longer
Former farmhouse in a rural spot but close enough to amenities and the Ayr coast. Has the feel of a small boutique hotel rather than an everyday B&B. Very clean and well maintained. Powerful shower. Off-road parking. Nicola and Gerry are attentive and very friendly hosts. Finally, the breakfast is sumptuous!
