Upscale hotel in the woods not far from highway. Lots of walking trails and a kids animal farm. Old windmill within a short walk. . Very comfortable and clean. Staff helpful.

I am not sure what I was expecting, so the place was a bit of a surprise, so much that I first thought I was in the wrong place. It appears to be on the highway, but it takes some 10 minutes of rural driving to get there. It is an old farm that is very nicely renovated and is superb condition. I love it and will stay on my list of stays in the region.

I chose this hotel because of its location close to the Rhine, the local town and also it's close proximity to other towns such as Koblenz. This is a family run hotel, which makes its own wines from the vineyards over the road. The family members are very friendly and helpful. I really liked the rural location and rustic building.
We had a lovely time at Bauernhof Barlo. After the travelling by bicycle and camping we really needed a place to recover and relax. This was the perfect place for it, quiet, in a beautiful location and a wonderful host who went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. A nice and cozy apartment, partly of an old farmhouse. We're warmly welcomed by the friendly host. The apartment was very clean, kitchen well equipped and situated in a peaceful part of Sauerland. From here we've hiked and cycled around the nearby located Biggesee and visited the town Olpe.
