We specifically chose this location due to it's direct link to the famous Veiga Studfarm and were not dissappointed. The owner took us on a personal tour through the Quinta and we were able to see horses being trained first hand. It was an unforgettable experience. The self-catering accommodation leaves nothing to be missed. The rooms are large and comfortable. Renovations to expand the facilities are underway and we will definitely come back to re-visit and see the results. Thank you very much to the Veiga Family to maintaining such a historic gem, both the horses and the buildings, for future generations.

The location of Monte Do Areeiro is beautiful. It is a large area with a number of beautiful apartments. In addition, the swimming pool is beautiful. We had a lot of fun on the golf cart. The facilities in the apartments are good and complete.

This hotel is an almost unique place to stay. Set in a rural location, just outside Santarem, it is in a beautifully appointed and converted former manorial farmhouse.
It is peaceful, has lovely gardens and a swimming pool.
The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful and the buffet breakfast was fresh and delicious.
