The apartment was well furnished and very clean. It was close to the airport which was very helpful with 2 kids in tow and no long transfers to endure.
Carla was the ‘hostess with the mostest’ for sure and made us feel so welcome. She waited up late to let us check in after a flight delay and was so helpful throughout the week, giving us tips on good places to visit and to eat in. She was also on hand to borrow items from eg when we used the BBQ and didn’t have the utensils.

We liked everything❤️ The room was bigger than we though, peaceful and very beautiful place. We felt such a warm welcome, the breakfast was 5 stars and we loved the cats. Definitely our place to be when closer to Porto.

Very warm welcome of our hosts in this beautiful family-owned castle with modern comfort. The location is very convenient to go to Porto airport. We had dinner and breakfast, and both were exceptional in terms of variety, quantity and quality of the products. We also enjoyed the medieval games available in the garden. Thank you for this fantastic stay and looking forward to coming back!

Super clean, very cozy and comfortable room, perfect for our family of 4 and our dog. Relaxing silence away from the hustle and bustle of a city like Porto, but near enough to enjoy it as well.

Location was much closer to the train station, supermarkets, cafes, restaurant than expected.
Breakfast was excellent and catered for everyone. Staff were very helpful and happy to fulfill any requests.
The amenities kept the family of 16 ranging 3 generations entertained… pool, badminton, table tennis, basketball….
The large villa and extensive grounds allow space for everyone and a peaceful corner can be found if needed.
For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
The location is perfect! We loved the apartment too, very rustic and cute! It had everything we needed and the staff was very lovely! There were loads of good restaurants around and the Ribeira is only down the road! We could walk everywhere from the house which we thought it was perfect
We liked the location and that it was close to a supermarket and the farmers market! It was quiet and very clean! Maria, at check-in, was very thorough and helpful! The bus stop was right out front. It was nice to have secure parking on the property.
Wonderful place, loved the terrace, kitchen is great, rooms are good, the host is very friendly and helpful. Location is not that bad actually, has a park nearby and shops, but the metro is a short walk away. actually there is 24 h supermarket nearby - very rare in Portugal!
I liked the quietness and some sort of rusticity with the neighboring lake and villas nearby.
Location was excellent. A few cafes and restaurants within immediate walking distance and the port was 6-7min walk away.
Porto is a layered rustic city with so much to see and do!
Good location away from the hustle of the city but only a short walk to the touristy parts. A lovely apartment, air conditioning is a big bonus. Staff were very helpful and great recommendations for food.
Previous reviews state you can hear people walking on apartment above, which you can however it is a very old building with a rustic charm so to me was no problem and is to be expected in such old buildings.
I would definitely stay again and will be recommending to friends.
Beautiful property and our room overlooked the garden which was so attractive in a rustic way. Very comfortable beds
Breakfast area very smart and food at breakfast very good.
Lovely and quiet
Staff lovely
Was a bargain!! A basic hotel but perfect location & lovely helpful welcoming staff. Was exactly what we needed for one night before flying out & we slept really well! It reminded me of the small hotels in South America- a bit small & rustic but has everything you need. Yes the bathrooms were shared, but they were clean, just a little old looking. We had our own sink in the bedroom & also a little balcony overlooking the front.
Lovely spacious apartment with everything you need. Was fantastic to have a full kitchen and the location is perfect. Across the road is an excellent pastry shop / bakery cafe and just 150 metres away is the farmers market with all its gourmet delights. The host provided lots of great information on enjoying the city.
Paula is a genuinely warm and lovely host. Her accommodation is wonderful, a comfortable and welcoming home from home in a charming little winding rustic street virtually on the river front of the Douro.
