Quinta da Alcaidaria Mor, hotel in Fátima

Located just over one hour drive from Lisbon and a few minutes from Fátima Sanctuary, one of the most centres of pilgrimage in the world, is the Quinta da Alcaidaria-Mór.

We only had once the breakfast in the special room but it was definitely worth it. Fresh bread, eggs, juice and a unique setting. The property is nicely located out of Ourem yet only 5 minutes away. Tomar and Fatima are not far to drive to and the Quinta gives a very relaxing vibe which allows you to become one with nature and unwind from your daily life. It's a unique way to get into the rural way of life Portugal has to offer while charging up for your regular life routine for when you get back home.

I like a lot the location, just right in the centre, walkable to supermarket, just enough human energy to move around. I was welcomed by the farm plum from Armando's land. The staff is very friendly and hospitable. A classic place that gives one a refuge for the soul, a pause from journey, and a potential to live a living.

The staff was very forthcoming and charming and certainly did everything to make our stay there as pleasant as possible - also the sourrounding area is really great, I especially enjoyed taking early morning walks in the nearby woods and the smell of damp eucalyptus trees and herbs that seem to grow everywhere you look. Also really nice pool area and a small enclosure with sheep, goats and chickens that gave the whole experience an indeed "charming" rural vibe.
