For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
The 2 hosts, Joan and Bernice, were wonderful. Very helpful and answered all our questions. Property is great. Designed well and every amenity is available. Everything was spotless clean. Our room was large with a fridge, some kitchen items and a microwave. Breakfast is continental with fresh baked goods, fruit, meat, cheese, coffee, etc. There is a small farm with chickens, etc.
The home was clean, very roomy, and located perfectly between all of the places our other family members were staying nearby. Waking up in the mornings and looking out the window to see cows on the hillside felt like we were staying in a farmhouse. The area is stunning and the views are amazing!
The breakfast was excellent, cooked to order. The owners were friendly and knowledgeable about the area and enjoyed visiting. A nicely remodeled older farmhouse in a quiet area with a variety of gardens and small farm animals. Rooms were neat and clean, we had two, one smaller and one large with lots of space.
This is the best b&b we have ever stayed in other than one in Akaroa New Zealand.
This is a stunning farm house set in fields, quiet but close to Doolin.
Maria is a wonderful host who made our stay perfect.
I liked everything about the residence and the people. However I didn't like the fact that we had to pay 15 euro each way to and from town. This doesn't have anything to do with the farmhouse though.
It’s a warm, comfortable farmhouse with lots of rooms and the open-hearted hospitality of Carmen and Martin, who can’t do enough to make you feel welcome and at home. Chickens, bunnies and a peacock strut around the yard, and the view from farmlands to the sea is so vast no camera can do it justice. Highly recommended, especially for families and for people who want to experience the rhythms and kindliness of daily life in rural Ireland.
A quaint farmhouse outside, and a beautifully appointed room inside. Clean and modern with every detail thought of. Coffee and tea, cereal and snacks in the room, a view of the ocean across the cliff edge farm and a wonderful breakfast delivered to the table in our room by our hosts. Close to the Cliffs of Moher and a number of small pubs and restaurants. This was more like home than home and was hard to leave. A wonderful and well organized couple looking after us. I highly recommend this B&B.
