For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
We loved the location (apart from distant traffic sounds), the friendly host, the delightful dogs and farm animals, and the adventure and novelty of staying in the Airstream. The scones, jam and cream offered us a lovely welcome. The proximity to family and sights was a bonus too, as were the fairy lights and nature all about us.
We like to cook with local ingredients so we found the well-equipped kitchen a huge bonus with immersion blenders, baking tools and even a rice cooker and a wok! Location was great too as it was really close to some really good restaurants and a country produce shop for farm-fresh products and Lidl supermarket was an 10 min walk from the house. Nathan was a great host to anticipate lots of our needs and for being so accommodating!
The most amazing and attentive hosts, we really felt welcome. Lovely breakfast served daily, the rooms were spacious enough and clean, with this lovely rustic charm. There are ponies too (outside of course)!
Incredible location, so easy to get around Cornwall, whether you're sightseeing or just need to get to the nearby towns, you won't be disappointed.
For the price, you won't do any better and you will absolutely love your stay.
Riverside was excellent, very clean, modern interior with rustic exterior and well equipped. Everything we possibly needed was supplied and all the instructions were well appreciated.
This is just a brilliant place to stay! Guest lounge, log burner, homemade cake and tea to greet you. Spent acouple of hours by the fire with the rain crashing on the windows, looking out over superb views. (Unfortunately got up just a bit late next morning to see the barn owl hunting over the grounds).
Breakfast had to be the best I've had in any accommodation - noticeably high quality and locally sourced.
Mix that all in with beautiful clean rooms and friendly hosts and you have a perfect stay.....
Loved the airstream. Great facilities and very comfortable. The setting on the little farm was lovely with friendly dogs ducks goats etc.
Would definitely recommend for being close to Penryn and Falmouth and the friendly welcome.
Everything was fabulous and Sal looked after us really well. Lovely tea and flapjacks on arrival and the breakfast was superb. Another unexpected treat was seeing the local barn owl hunting from our bedroom window. Highly recommended and we would stay again!
