First time here and it was excellent. We loved the set up and the accommodation was great. We had an upgrade with en suite which was a lovely surprise. Would recommend staying here.

Location was superb. The property had loads of character and has been tastefully renovated inside to a high standard. Loved the rural location and lack of light pollution. If you are looking to really get away, this is the place. Great as a base for exploring into Scotland as well as to the south and some key sights such as Bamburgh & Dunstanburgh Castles as well as Lindisfarne.

The size of the barn and garden were great, perfect for 2 young lively kids. Bedrooms and storage were a good size. 2 tables in the kitchen /living area, great idea, one to eat on and one that could stay as it was for kids craft.

Breakfast very good cooked to order and piping hot. Staff were great friendly and attentive could not do enough for you. Location is great many major attractions just a short drive away and some great attractions recommended by the staff that you would not have considered for example the honey farm with it’s vintage machinery

Being met by Brogan on arrival was great - she provided local knowledge on where to go and eat etc. The bath is huge - very luxurious and unsurprisingly takes a while to fill up! Kitchen was well fitted out. City walls were lovely for a stroll. Union Chain Bridge (recently reopened) and honey farm were great.
