For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
The team at reception were super friendly and even added additional value by making restaurant suggestions.
The location is conveniently close to KX but in a quiet street that is just across from a Harris Farm store.
The size of the room and high ceilings were excellent, while the bed, TV and shower were all good quality (the important stuff:-))
- Nice compact hotel. Excellent location close to King's Cross station;
- Walk to the Sydney Opera House in approximately 20 minutes;
- In front of the hotel there is a fruit and vegetable store - Harris Farm. Coles and Woolworths metro markets are also nearby.
- Comfortable kitchen with sink, toaster, gas stove, kettle, refrigerator and dishes.
- Laundry room with washing machine and dryer in the basement.
So close to all transport. Which I love as I am from rural NSW. Having Woolworths just up from this hotel was also very convenient. All staff are always happy, helpful and inviting.
From the pictures I saw of the hotel and rooms it was run down compared to the pictures . It was out dated compared to other Mantra hotels I’ve stayed at . I chose this hotel due to other experiences with this branch over the holiday inn up the road , maybe I should have stayed there.
Really good value pub accomodation right in the middle of Sydney. Loved the rustic atmosphere and the area was quieter than I thought it would be. The bed was clean and comfy and the staff were very friendly. Loved it.
1) Room was very clean and well-kept. Hotel's cleaning service was top notch and we found a well-prepped room every time we came back in the afternoon after doing city tours. This is why we use hotels and not AirBNB.
2) Extra towel + room requests were prompt.
3) Ranch restaurant was accessible and had good, albeit a bit pricey food. Was useful for some gatherings we planned on our trip. Appears to be a local favourite and is just the thing for impromptu meet ups.
Great for our group’s 3 nights. We all had a queen room each. Perfect for one person, possibly a little squeezy for 2! Super friendly and helpful staff. Loved the roof top. We took coffee up there in the morning and wine in the evening. Lovely view to the harbour although I would have liked to trim the branches, in the view, a bit! 😀 Good mattresses, quiet given the potential city noise, right next to a smart cafe and a Harris Farm supermarket. I would absolutely go back!
