We had a clean room with mosquito net and a fan. There are hammocks to chill in! Truc and her lovely sister made a tour with us to the floating market in Long Xuyên. She also showed us the best restaurants on the island! One night we spend in a café playing the game UNO and one night we did karaoke (if you want and brave enough to sing karaoke!)! The mother of the family was like a mom to us! Her food was delicious!! One evening it was raining heavily, why we couldn't get out to find a restaurant. So the mom invited us for dinner! She also gave us a lot of fruits (yummi mangos!). The island is beautiful and calm! If you looking for a real for an authentic Vietnamese experience and a peaceful place, don't look further! You found it!

The host was exceptionally kind and helpful! I chose to stay here because I had a long online work meeting one evening, and she accommodated so flexibly. She lals helped me arrange a visit to the floating market for a very honest price and on the day I left called and arranged a bus for me to get to my next destination. The bus was initially supposed to come pick me up at the hotel, but when this was no longer possible the host took me all the way to the bus station! The rooms are clean and modern with really good facilities, very comfortable and nice smelling. There's a really relaxing atmosphere throughout the day and it's very quiet at night. It's also in a beautiful neighborhood close to the river (and to where the floating market takes place). I highly recommend to anyone visiting Long Xuyen!

Set on the banks of the Bassac River, Victoria Chau Doc Hotel offers cosy accommodation with river views. The hotel also boasts views of the famous floating markets and floating fish farming villages, as well as Cham villages. Guests can enjoy a dip in the outdoor pool, or enjoy a meal at the on-site restaurant. We had a room with a view overlooking the pool and the river that we had travelled on, by Hang Chau Express Ferry from Phnom Penh (definitely recommend that!). Location is perfect as you can easily walk along the promenade to the riverside market, as well as the bustling town centre. Lovely staff, pool well maintained. Breakfast (included) was amazing and we dined in for dinner which was a treat. More expensive for our budget, but great value for money. Staff booked transfer and bus to Ho Chi Minh City

Room was nice and clean. The kitchen was a must. The landlady is helpful, but doesn't speak English (thank you google trad)...
