Offering 123 rooms with stunning views of the sea, Octant Ponta Delgada is a vibrant and cosmopolitan hotel with an outdoor swimming pool located in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel Island of the Azores Archipelago. My room was facing the harbour and my timing was perfect as aI saw the cruise ship come and go. The hotel is very close to the town central so a very convenient location. Breakfast foods was freshly prepared. Throughout the hotel the staff were friendly and eager to please the guest. I particularly liked the extra touch of hats for the guest, the delivery of a fruit basket upon arrival and the hand deliver of an afternoon "cookie pack". I am a very satisfied customer!
Furnas
The 4-star Octant Furnas is located in São Miguel Island, in Vale das Furnas, site of the largest concentration of thermal waters in Europe. The tranquil property was renovated in 2015 and features swimming pools and a Spa & Wellness centre. Beautiful place in the most magical part of the island. The staff were really great. The pools are fantastic.
Ponta Delgada
With a 24-hour reception, Grand Hotel Açores Atlântico features a permanent exhibition about the maritime transportation sector, as well as a laundry service, babysitting and transfers upon request. Ponta Delgada Airport is 2 km away. I liked everything about this hotel and the Staff were exceptional and were genuinely so helpful and pleasant. The location was so good close to the city centre. We will be staying at the Hotel Grand Azores Atlantico again.
Furnas
Located in a valley surrounded by trees, Terra Nostra Garden offers elegantly decorated rooms. Next to the Terra Nostra Botanical Park, it features indoor and outdoor pools. Free parking is available, upon request. Good and varied breakfast. Wonderful interior and is very comfortable. Huge outdoor hot spring ''spa pool (or nearly a small lake...) where guests can swim in the dark and watch the stars!
Ponta Delgada
The Farm - Azores Boutique House is situated in Ponta Delgada and features a saltwater pool and pool views. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The farm stay has family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. Everything. The hotel opened a few weeks ago so everything is sparkly new, clean and very comfortable. The location is great, basically between the airport and the town centre and (apart from some low flying airplanes) very quiet. The design is truly beautiful and the staff very kind and helpful. I would definitely stay there again on our next visit.

We had a wonderful time at Solar de Santo Andre, a great location and very friendly and helpful staff that took wonderful care of us. We enjoyed the great breakfast and Eduarda was helping is with advice and support throughout our week long stay. We would definitely go back in the future.

The apartment was large enough for my family of 4 and it was family friendly. We had all the necessary items to handle making a few meals in the apartment and also the ability to do laundry. Getting around the city center was very convenient and we didn't require getting our car unless we were planning to explore other areas of the island.
It is a modern house, well equipped, clean, spacious, with plenty of space in the back for grill or kids to play. Nice, quiet location. If you have a car it is close to Ponta Delgada, sandy beach but also to main island's spots. 2 separete bathrooms + a wc is an advantage for stay of 2 families (it is possible to extend to 9 beds with extra fee).
This lovely clean comfortable renovated traditional Azorean cottage is located within close driving distance of supermarkets, restaurants, beaches, and sights. We could drive anywhere on the island with ease. Well equipped kitchen. The outdoor area, with new furniture and umbrella, was a great place to share family meals. Responsive owner. Very well set up for a young family/baby with cot, high chair & bath (although we didn’t need it).
The host was extremely kind and helpful. The house was very clean, well maintained and had everything that we needed, including a washing machine. Pretty good location, as the highway was close and whole island was reachable within 30-40 minutes. There is a grocery store right across the street. Definitely recommend it for families with small children. There is a free street parking on the street - hard to find a spot right in front of the house, but we always found one within 100-200 meters.
The house was perfect for our family of 7 adults and 2 small children. The location is amazing, very close to the beach (you can see the sea from some of the rooms and from the sundeck), and a restaurant and beach bar just around the corner. We used the outside kitchen/barbecue a lot for our dinners. We loved the outdoor space,its of places to sit and relax, and even a jacuzzi!
well suited for our young family. baby Gates were installed at top and bottom of staircase, crib was ready and high chair also. amazing view from kitchen table- it was lovely staring at the rolling hills during breakfast. washer dryer was also a plus and kitchen was well stocked. also very clean.
The communication from our host Paulo was great. We loved the location, ease of access, loads of space, and kid friendly supplies (crib, baby bath, high chair). Unit was exactly as pictured but felt even bigger. My daughter loved the closed in balcony off the master bedroom. AC worked well unlike some other places we've stayed. It's location made it super easy to drive to and drive out to anywhere on the island.
.We absolutely loved our stay at casa da galeria. We were traveling as two families with kids, the room set up was perfect for us with a space to put the crib which didn't bother the living area or the bedroom. The breakfast was great we loved having it in our room. The staff went above and beyond to help with car rental, sightseeing tickets, packaged foods. There was a high chair and a baby bathtub in the room when we got there! If we are ever back on Sao Miguel we will 100% stay again.

Staying in this house was like walking into one of your favorite children's books. The views of the lake were amazing, and we loved strolling and biking around it straight from our house. The kids were enchanted by the idea that we had a "secret garden" right behind us, and we visited it almost every evening as the sun was going down. After nightfall we enjoyed reading in front of the fire in the living room. One of my kids literally cried when we left. I would recommend this house highly to families, or anyone!
