This property offers access to a balcony and free private parking. Had some bad luck as Cyclone Gabrielle hit right when we were staying here. Power was out, there was no cell reception and Napier was completely cut-off (there was no way in or out of the city). Greg and Wendy were extremely accommodating and gracious hosts, letting us stay at the apartment 2 days past our booking dates with no prior notice and providing us with a radio so we could stay informed. They were incredibly kind hosts during a very stressful period of our holiday! On top of that, having spent a lot of time in the apartment (as there was not much else to do during the power outage), it is a truly great place to stay. A very cosy apartment, tastefully decorated within the art deco theme Napier is known for and stocked with plenty of board games and other amenities to keep you entertained and to ensure a pleasant stay. Additionally, upon arrival we found that there was a spiced bread, jellies and butter waiting for us, which was a very nice touch. 100% would stay again!

Lawn Cottages is just 5 minutes’ walk from the beach. It is within 10 minutes’ drive of Napier, Havelock North, and Hastings. A variety of local wineries are within 15 minutes’ drive. Your hosts can arrange restaurant and tour bookings for you. They left breakast fixings for us in our room. Very nice touch . Large lawn in front of the cottage that my grandchildren were in. They loved playing on it. They had a first aid kit in the bathroom. The outside looked older but the inside was completely modern, Clean. They sent me an email afterwards saying thank you for leaving the cottage so tidy.

I really like the hotel owner , she is kind and very helpful. The hotel bath is super and the room is very spacious plus nice amenity .

Each cottage has its own grounds and garden with room for parking. We traveled all over the north island. This was by far our favorite place to stay. The host was kind and flexible. The cottage was cozy. The animals were a peaceful and wonderful addition. Highly recommended!!!

It's only a short drive from the shops/beach (5 mins).
