The rooms at Bernstorff benefit from unique décor and include extra-long beds, a TV and tea and coffee making equipment. Each bathroom has a bath or a shower. We had a large room and comfortable beds. Unfortunately there was no douche in our room. When we had a question or wish, the staff was always engaged to fulfill our wishes. We will return to Hotel Graf Bernstorff.

Hotel Cafe Restaurant Duinzicht benefits from rooms with cable TV and a private bathroom with a bath or shower. Some of the rooms have their own balcony or garden views. Amazing location, just a few minutes by cab or bus. Staff is the most amazing out there, we were there for a wedding and they really catered to the bride's and groom's every need! I had the room with the sauna and spa bath, it was rather warm due to the blazing hot weather, but thankfully there was a fan present in the closet. Breakfast was amazing as well. All in all I'd choose this hotel if I'd visit the island again!

Westerburen is a family-run guest house with a conservatory and small terrace in Schiermonnikoog village. It is located 4 km from the ferry terminal and offers free Wi-Fi throughout.

The rooms at Pension Westerburen benefit from cable TV, a seating area and work desk. Each room also has a private bathroom with a shower. Guests can enjoy a daily buffet breakfast in the conservatory whilst reading a newspaper or magazine. The stuff is friendly in the Frisian way, it means no yakketi-yack and unnecessary chin music. Beds and furniture are plain and comfortable, explanations will be two syllabic and comprehensible. Bathroom fitment is nothing special but functional. Everything is neat and fresh. The garret rooms ain't hot even though at the time I visited it was quite torrid outside. About the degree of their beds' comfort nothing can I say as I'm extremely unpretentious in this regard. Anything that is not flint hard or jelly soft is comfortable for me. I suppose it's just good if I'm not bleating about it.
