It is situated 5.7 km from Batticaloa Lighthouse and offers full-day security. There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service. It was a quick stay but the host ensured I had everything I needed from the moment I arrived. The room was very large with lots of areas to sit and or set your personal items on which was appreciated. I had a spacious kitchen to cook if I preferred (grocery store right down the street). The bathroom was on the smaller side but had everything you’d need.

Room is large and clean. Garden, pool and beach area are well maintain. Staff were very friendly. Spa also very good.

A splendid outdoor pool resides between the beach and Amaya Beach Passikudah, a resort offering spacious rooms and suites with private balconies and free WiFi. A spa, fitness centre and restaurant are available. This was our first stay at Amaya. By far this was the best resort/hotel we have stayed in. The deluxe suite was very spacious. The washroom was clean and superb. Wifi was fast. The food at the breakfast and dinner buffets was nothing short of delicious. I've stayed at 5 star hotels in Colombo but the food here was excellent. The greatest strength of this resort is the hospitality provided by the staff. Every single one of them who we encountered went above and beyond. Most notable for us was Tharindu from the restaurant service. He asked if we wanted a pureed meal for the baby and ensured we received it. The last day, we had to leave early and wasn't able to have our breakfast and wanted to take out instead. And Tharindu ensured that our food was packaged and ready to go. For a 4 star resort, their services and quality were so much better than a 5 star in Colombo. It was the highlight of our experiences. We stayed for 2 nights but wish we could for longer.
