Every morning there was home cooked breakfast which was tasty and an introduction to simple local foods. The rooms were comfortable and with a good size. There is also a kitchen and a common area which is a good place to hang out and meet other guests. You can really see the love and effort that has been put into this place and it really felt like home.

A bicycle rental service is available at Happy Buddha S4. Roshan is an amazing host, the place was superclean with proximity to the beach. People were nice and kind and we had a very comfortable stay here.

I was a little worried about our stay on the houseboat as there are so many to choose from. However, as soon as I stepped on the boat I knew I had made the right decision. It is spotless and tidy. It is well kept. The owners met with us both to share the history of the houseboats and the local area. We had a wonderful cook and captain who took care of us throughout our stay. We were on a one bedroom boat which I highly recommend and we paid an additional fee for a trip down the narrow side canals the next morning: you must do this as you see local village life. The bed is enormous and all clean and comfortable. We wouldn’t hesitate to book this houseboat again. There are many on the water but many are large and not well maintained. This boat is very clean and offers a more authentic experience.
