An array of activities is offered on the farm and in the area, such as horse riding, cycling and hiking. The farm is a children’s paradise, and kids will delight in the playground, trampoline and swimming pool. Guests can also meet the giant Percheron horses on the farm, including Shadowfax, South Africa's biggest horse.

Pete & Christine went out of their way to let us feel at home and even cooked us a delicious dinner which we all enjoyed very very much. Thank you very much for your hospitality, we will surely visit again.

This property is located at the foot of the Robinson Pass in Ruiterbos Valley, on the R328 between Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn. It offers a garden terrace with a swimming pool and horse stables.

While kids enjoy the indoor playroom, older guests can go horse riding on The Eight Bell Inn’s estate. It is also possible to play table tennis and billiards, or tennis on the on-site court.

Eight Bells is a hidden gem on the road between Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn. I've stayed there on numerous occasions, and it's a lovely time every time. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is great, the location is amazing. If you've not been, you are missing out.

The hotel really had an old world charm. Families will enjoy the play room, outdoor play area, horses and daily donkey rides. Really well kitted out for children. We had delicious food, both dinner and breakfast. We had a 2 room suite which was a little tired and simple, but comfortable.

a wonderful setting! So absolutely beautiful! There is nothing more relaxing than to sit on the sunny patio and have a perfect melktart or a cheesecake: The owner is abolutely helpful and knows about everything about the place. Fun to watch them chasing away the baboons.

A very interesting hotel, full of history and it plays on that. It is located at 30 km from mossel bay and so is quite a drive but you are located on their massive farm so is great if you want to get away from everything. I did a lovely hike, and there is also the option of riding their horses. It has got lots of history and it Would be lovely for a family if you want to get away from technology and everything.

Christine and Peter are lovely hosts. Very passionate about the horses. The animals blew my 3 year old away, from the frogs, dogs, ponies, chickens & horses. The room was comfortable and fit 3 adults and 2 children comfortably. Will definitely return to this property! My daughter is now looking to get into horse-riding and vaulting after a few test runs with Christine.
