The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and also very comfortable. We were unfortunately extremely disappointed by the state of the property as a whole - it is very neglected and needs A LOT OF ATTENTION, especially the upkeep of the buildings and facilities as the buildings, etc are literally falling apart.
It was also disappointing that we did not find any information on the activities or things to see/do on the property: no information was provided on the hiking trails, rock pool (which is also very neglected and in need of repair), etc.
It is unfortunate, but we will not be visiting Karoo1 again and will be pleasantly surprised if the hotel is still in existence in 5 years if the current management and maintenance is kept the way it is.

Spectacular scenery, comfortable, lots of pots, pans and crockery. We stayed at the Fort and there were lots of different spaces to relax in with or away from others. The hot tub was wonderful!
