We had the most amazing time at Bush Lodge. Beautiful location and amazing private viewing deck of the watering hole from our room. Our guide AJ looked after us so well on safari, very knowledgeable and we had some amazing sightings especially the rhinos and lions. All the staff were so helpful and welcoming, with a special shout out to Kristi and Kayla who really went the extra mile!

Quatermain's 1920's Safari Camp – Amakhala Game Reserve, hotel in Amakhala Game Reserve

Offering an intimate Big 5 safari experience, Quatermain's 1920's Safari Camp features a boma bonfire and BBQ facilities. It is located in the Amakhala Game Reserve.

What an amazing safari experience! The staff were fantastic, the tents were spotless and the food was excellent. Even though we were there in cold weather (we had been well advised to bring warm clothes thankfully), and some elephants had done a job on the water lines at the camp - we all enjoyed the whole experience immensely. The simple touches like the hot water bottles and blankets on the drives and the hot water bottles in our beds at night were wonderful. Sitting in the hot tubs and watching the stars was an experience in itself!

We had a great few days on safari here. Our ranger, Tim, was brilliant - exceptionally knowledgeable about the animals, and made us feel safe at all times. The tents were clean, comfortable and stayed warm, even in the colder weather. All of the front of house and waiting staff were very friendly and willing to help. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing experience!! It was a totally wonderful package of stay (comfortable warm beds, clean rooms), excellent food (we went as a family of 4 and 3 were vegetarians, all efforts were put in to providing them with specially curated vegetarian meals), game drives!! Amazing drive experience with very knowledgeable ranger!! He put in so much effort to show us maximum wild life. The morning coffee with giraffes is something we will remember for lifetime. Thanks Rob for this lifetime memorable experience.

We had a fantastic stay at Woodbury Tented Camp in the Amakhala Game Reserve. The tents were spacious and had everything you need. The staff were friendly and respectful, as were the Rangers. Our ranger, JP, was good fun and very knowledgeable. He paid attention to what everyone hoped to see and fulfilled their requests if possible without hindering or distressing the wildlife. I loved the fact that we were never rushed and given the time to observe and take photos.

This Lodge was by far the best location we visited during our stay in Africa. We had Desmond as a game driver. He was very knowledgeable and funny. It was a real pleasure dooing the outings with him. They also had a system in which everybody was assigned to a waiter. Sheldon the waiter was also amazing.
