The location is perfect, walking distance to many coffee shops, restaurants, supermarkets etc. in a very pretty neighbourhood. The room was large and comfortable and very clean with a nice bathroom. The light breakfast was very good - especially liked the fresh fruit plate and yogurt. The outdoor courtyard area is quiet and pleasant and the Friday evening 'Happy Hour' with wine, cheese and fruit was a nice surprise! The staff were all extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. Sorry I didn't get any of their names but all, including the cleaning staff, were lovely.

Well in Europe when you see 2 stars hotel you don't have high expectations. But in this case we felt here better than in the 5 stars hotel we were staying in Las Vegas. I am not an often traveler to US and have chosen very carefully the location and it was top. Next to the ocean, were I could jog in the morning and walk in the evenings, safe and with one of the best restaurants in the San Diego area. The room was like new and very comfortable, equipped with everything we needed including complimentary expresso in our room. The service was outstanding and every morning we used the expresso machine at the reception - again free of charge and there were good options for a lights breakfast, for a very reasonable price. Staff was very polite and helpful. Yes there is a train passing nearby, but it was not noisy at nights. Free parking at the property was very comfortable also.
